This past weekend I attended the Florida Bloggers Conference at Full Sail University. FLBlogCon is a one day conference for bloggers with speakers and influential leaders covering all kinds of topics including different ways to monetize your blog, a hands-on writing workshop, branding and offline networking for online influence.
The unKeynote was pretty amazing, and a lot more fun than most keynotes I’ve been privy to. I got a pretty swanky glowstick out of if it too! My favorite part about the conference was the Blogger Break Out by Niche. It provided a great way to meet other lifestyle bloggers. Everyone did their best to answer my never-ending questions and I was provided really great insight. As a new blogger and first time attendee I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised.
The Hands-On Writing Workshop by Adam Avitable was incredible. There was a really great exercise in learning how to write without using clichés, avoiding common mistakes, and how to hook your readers. I hope the workshop is repeated at next year’s conference which I definitely plan to attend.
I learned a lot of new things about social media and how to use it to promote your blog which is something I actually have to work on because I’ve never been an avid user. It was a very informative day filled with fun and swag. I’m looking forward to next year’s conference.
If you attended FLBlogCon 2015 I’d love to hear your comments!
